FOR OUR CAREGIVER COMMUNITY

Prepared for the person.
Connected to the team.

Ask Heritage about orientation and in-service education for HHA and PCA caregivers, including learning related to personal care and NHTD/TBI support. The team confirms the current topics, schedule, role requirements, and participation process.

01

Start with orientation

Review the agency’s expectations, communication channels, documentation practices, and how to raise a question or concern.

02

Strengthen daily care skills

Ask about education involving personal care, infection prevention, home safety, transfers within the care plan, and respectful communication.

03

Understand the assigned plan

Discuss role-specific learning for cueing, supervision, and support for people receiving NHTD/TBI-related services.

04

Keep credentials clear

Bring credential questions to recruitment. Orientation and in-service education are different from an initial state-approved HHA or PCA certification course.

Already certified?

Share your credential, languages, location, and available schedule. Recruitment will explain credential review and the next onboarding steps.
